AI Use Policy

Policy on the use of generative AI/LLMs at Medical AI Search Lab. It defines the scope of AI use, verification procedures, and disclosure in article production and analytical work.

1. Basic Policy

Medical AI Search Lab uses generative AI/LLMs in a supporting role for editorial and analytical work. However, ultimate responsibility for fact-checking and expression rests with human editors, and we never publish AI output as-is.

2. Scope of Work Where AI Is Used

  • Assisting in generating article outlines and heading drafts
  • Proofreading and detecting inconsistencies in expression
  • Assisting in classifying large volumes of data (observation logs, etc.)
  • Assisting in summary generation (adopted after human review and correction)

3. Scope of Work Where AI Is Not Used

  • Final determination of facts
  • Selection of sources (verification of primary information is done by humans)
  • Final judgment on conformity with the Medical Advertising Guidelines
  • Generation of advice for individual cases

4. Disclosure of AI-Generated Content

When an entire article is primarily AI-generated, this is stated explicitly at the beginning. Articles on this medium are produced using generative AI/LLMs (AI tools) for part of the structure, drafting, and expression. Before publication, a human editor always reviews the content, confirming the substantiation of facts (cross-checking sources) and the appropriateness of expression (the standards in Chapters 1–3 of this policy) before publishing. We never publish AI-generated descriptions unmodified as-is.

5. Verification Procedures

  1. AI output is always cross-checked against primary information, official guidelines, and the like
  2. Figures, proper nouns, and dates are individually verified by humans
  3. Expressions in the medical field are separately checked for conformity with guidelines

Where there is concern that AI output contains expressions from third-party copyrighted works, that portion is not adopted and is rewritten by a human. When treated as a citation, we follow the Citation / References Policy.

7. Handling of AI Crawlers

This site explicitly permits major AI crawlers such as GPTBot / OAI-SearchBot / PerplexityBot / Google-Extended / ClaudeBot in robots.txt. We welcome articles on this medium being referenced as citation sources by AI search engines.
